[Prayer Guide] Quarantine Kwakum Prayer Guide

“One of the great uses of Twitter and Facebook will be to prove at the Last Day that prayerlessness was not from lack of time.”  ― John Piper

How is God going to use Coronavirus for his glory? I think one way is to move his people to increased time in prayer.

For me (Stacey), I’ve been in my bedroom this last week as I have been showing mild symptoms of the Coronavirus. Frankly, it is a form of torture for an extrovert to be locked up in the house with people always hanging out outside their window. And yet, the Lord has been using this time to show me that it is not only, even mainly, through my ministry to the Kwakum people that will bring about worship of Christ among them. As the Psalmist says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” – Psalm 127:1a

I believe that quarantine is just another way that the Lord is humbling me to say that ministry to the Kwakum is not about me. It is about waiting on the Lord to be faithful to move in and convict people of sin, give people a desire to come and learn about his Word, open people’s eyes to see his glory in creation, and so on.

And so, we invite you to join us in 30 days of prayer for the Kwakum people. And if and when this pandemic is over, may we all leave our houses to find the fields even more ripe for harvest because the work the Lord has been doing in people’s hearts while we were all shut up in our houses. And may Facebook and Twitter have nothing on us at the Last Day.
