
Have you ever tried to help someone who feels trapped in sin? How much time did you spend talking to them about ghosts?
Breaking the power of sin in our lives can seem too hard, even impossible. It often takes work, major life changes, and deep introspection. But, more often than not, defeating sin means first changing beliefs and values. These beliefs and values are going to be shaped by our culture. So, the answer to the above question, for most of you, is probably “no time at all.” However, we have found that helping the Kwakum defeat sin often requires conversations about ghosts.
This last week Stacey and I (Dave) had the priviledge of going back to Dimako together to test the first 10 chapters of Stacey’s new curriculum: Sex, Love, and Marriage in Africa: A Manual to Help the Church be Different.
