$1200 Raised in a Night – Richie’s Going to Cameroon!

Wow, I am just beyond excited as I write this blog entry.  Since just LAST NIGHT Richie has raised the remaining $1,200 that he needed in order to take his vision trip to Cameroon.  He is fully funded and buying plane tickets and soon will be packing his bags. Here are a couple reasons why this is so thrilling:

  • Because Richie will have the opportunity to go to Cameroon and hopefully see all the ways he can be used in the Lord’s Kingdom.  Lord willing, he’ll come back with a head full of dreams of how he could best serve the Lord in Cameroon.
  • Because it evidences that the church cares about missions.  Only God could take selfish people like us, save us, and change us so that we spend money not on ourselves but on others. Remarkable.
  • Because it reminds me (yet again) that the Lord answers prayer and provides for his people and specifically for his Kingdom-advancing work.

I don’t know about you, but I need to be reminded of this over and over again. Well thank you to those of you who gave and thank you for rejoicing with us.  This is just the very beginning (Lord willing) of a life filled with service to those in Cameroon.  Now let’s start praying that the Lord would grow Richie’s heart for missions even more through this vision trip.
